Inverlochlarig is a 10,000 acre hill farm situated in the
Breadalbane area of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National
Park.
It
has been farmed by the same family since 1877 and carries
about 4,000 Scottish Blackface and Cheviot Ewes and a herd of
100 cattle. There are also a sustainable number of wild Red
Deer.
Inverlochlarig’s main claim to fame is as one of the homes of
Rob Roy MacGregor and it is here that he died. He is buried
locally in the churchyard of Balquhidder Parish Kirk.
In
recent years we have taken the logical step of preparing and
selling our produce directly to the end consumer. We believe
that this can only be advantageous for all concerned.
All
produce is normally frozen due to its seasonality and can
either be bought at the farm, sent to you by Royal Mail Next
Day Delivery mail order, or it can be found in several farm
shops in Central Scotland. |
